The Cal Poly wordmark, in combination with the academic shield, is also an official logotype of the university. It is to be used for most print and promotional materials. The shield is never allowed to be used without the wordmark.
The wordmark with the academic shield may be used in the green and gold color combinations shown. One-color versions are available in green, gold or black and can be supplied upon request.
These marks should always be reproduced from official university artwork and can be obtained by emailing Creative Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please do not attempt to create Cal Poly wordmarks or logotypes. For college or division pairings, please contact Creative Services.

The clear area around the logotype is essential to keep it readable. No copy or any other graphics may encroach on this minimum space. The buffer zone must be equal to the height of the “Y” in the Cal Poly wordmark.
In order to maintain detail, the vertical version must not be printed less than .75″ in width. The horizontal version should never be printed smaller than .5″ in height. The ratios of the shield and “Cal Poly” must not be altered.
